And you deftly avoid the fact that Obama, with 60 or 65% popularity in the polls, asked for half of that, with at least l/3 wasted (tax cuts).

It's been downhill from there.

The trouble IS NOT the amount, it's that things have changed since Keyens proposed all this stuff. He would never imagined that a stimulus spending initiated by the government was doing more stimulating in China than here. Keynesian is waaaaaay overdue for an overhaul.
