meanful anaysis?
supply: 1994 4Mb/die, 1998 64Mb/die 1600% increase
fabs and yield increase gives another 400% increase
total 6400% increase
Demond: 4Mb--48Mb/pc from 1994-1998 1200% increase
total pc's owned 200% pc increase
total 2400% increase
6400%-2400%=4000% oversupply for price cut.
even leave 75% error margin, still 1000% oversupply for price cut.
but may be there are still some profit on the table for whoever
got 64MB ramp up first.
get it?

Good morning, Ray. Thank you for sharing your opinion

re: Txn's dram exposure. Sir Paul II's link to Txn's
planned purchase of AMTX, tells me that it is not dragging
it's feet to increase shareholders' value.

Mems, did u know that Txn is also in this area?

there's so much more out there other than dram!!!

and txn is a conservative stock. imho.

stay lucky, Ray,,,ciao.

On Oct 24, 1997 TXN made a "lower monthly low".
TXN's monthly trend is now negative.
Dram and (to a lessor degree) DSP are both commodities.
Good words and bad words can always be said about TXN,
but that fact is that the market is currently negative
on TXN.
