I have been going through an accumulation of papers and came upon a copy of the final report by The Members of the National Commission on Excellence in Education created by Secretary of Education T. H. Bell. in 1981.

The result of that committee's work was a thorough examination of education with input from people throughout the United States. That report was and is "A Nation At Risk".

I keep thinking there is a reason that this report has surfaced again. For about 10 days I have shoved it from one corner of my desk to another rather than discarding it.

The first statement in the report, A Nation At Risk, is and was a statement declaring that "Our Nation is at risk."

Yes, here we are again----Our Nation Is at Risk in education and in other major ways.

I will write more on this another time.

I believe there is a copy of that report on Wiki.

>>The Obama Department of Justice moved in this week to protect teachers with unacceptable English skills.

It fits in with Obama's vision of turning the USA in to a Banana Republic...

Obama once again bending over backwards to get the union votes...
