Poor and uneducated migrate to target countries that need them to do menial jobs. Target countries do not want people who come to compete for high paid, clean, with a good path, safe or cushy jobs.

They want taxi drivers. Cleaners, fruit pickers, meat packers those sort of jobs.

If citizenship would be available -by trade- these down trodden would spend anything they have to move to a richer country.

paid big heap taxes So did all he voters though right along side you Mq.. did you get public health care ? , education is needed ?... not only that .. estimates are < 30% of Canucks do not pay taxes.. (yes some are very rich) but bottom line is you gotta be broke or really really rich in Canada to avoid taxes.. unlike the US.. with > 50% ??? paying no tax ..(of course maybe 50% are very poor :O) Can't find Kiwi numbers..

I did find this though which says 50billion MINIMUM each year in Kiwiland for just three services... ... treasury.govt.nz

  • Social security and welfare: $24.2 billion
  • Health: $12.7 billion
  • Education: $12.4 billion
so did you say 20K (upper band) of tradeables sold annually for 20billion ? = 1 million per citizenship ? WOW I'd love to see a Canuck number... ;o) but that still does not come close to covering budget coalitions nevermind debt.. etc etc..

I REALLY REALLY like the idea from a responsibility aspect.. but I'm seeing implementations problems..

Mind you could keep boosting the price .. which would make buyers happy each year.. but that would smell of a US style housing bubble :O)

How do you plan to plan to fund liabilities ?
You mentioned folks that were not citizens paying taxes.. is that the ones carrying a citizenship 'mortgage' ?
