Just curious Sidney, but do you feel like you are under taxed?......Do you know some one that you think personally should pay more taxes?....Or are you falling for the Buffet b.s. line on taxes? How many secretaries do you think it takes to pay Buffet's total tax load? He has to know the figures on who pays the bulk of the tax collections....hint: it's not the poor. Plus, he never got to where he is by maximizing the taxes his companies paid.....and should he ever get senile enough to think along those lines, then investment capital would desert him in a flash.

Most of us can give multiple examples of why economic plans based primarily on "other people's money" is a sure recipe for a fool's paradise.....If you can cite examples where our money couldn't be handled just as well by a group of deranged chimps, please fill us in.

Do you also remember the AMT? That was "to get those rich people". It's been strangling the middle class for decades.

Read this, and don't forget to remind us that you are NOT a Liberal, but a staunch Republican.

Anyone who thinks this is anything more than a raise taxes on everyone plan is deluded, and his liberal cheerleaders will suddenly realize that the old Democrat axiom “do you get a paycheck? You’re rich” is in play

It’s not just millionaires who’d pay more under President Obama’s latest plan to combat the deficit.

As a progressive liberal democrat, I recognize that sometimes fiscal responsibility trumps that warm and fuzzy feeling that I get when I give somebody else's money to some poor bastard who can't get a job because it interferes with his day at the track.

And also as a progressive liberal democrat, I do understand that this whole tax the rich thing is a smoke screen and an effort to create a class divide. The rich are already taxed significantly more at a significantly higher rate than everybody. And as a progressive liberal democrat, I realize that additional taxes on the rich won't address the real issue, which is not government income, but irresponsible spending by that very government.

Lack of taxes didn't get us into this situation, more taxes won't get us out.

As a republican, i am certain you understand this innately. It took me, as a progressive liberal democrat, a long time to figure out sometimes you just have to say "no" when it comes to spending on social programs that just don't work anyway.
