Hi Clownbuck -

When I stagger into a position I usually have a buy rule where I add more shares 10% lower from my previous buy. I get that opportunity with FWLT in less than 24 hours. Looking at the long term chart maybe $15.00/share is in the cards but when this storm is over, I definitely want at least a 50% position. I am going to hold off a few hours (or days) on this one unless I see a final blow off.

As far a finding a bottom, I look for lower lows on lower volume. The one positive on FWLT is it is hitting new lows on lower (vs avg daily volume) volume. If the volume remain stagnant I may hold my nose and add more shares. It seems like today the large drop is just a lack of buyers.

I came into the week with a large amount of cash but have already used up my allotment for the day/week but I am seeing lots of bargains as long as this is not Armageddon.

EKS

Oh boy - what a day:

Buys: PH, DOV - two industrials I wanted to own for a long time.
MRO (rebuy)
BG,FWLT,DVN,GLW, MGDDY,SU,TC,Vale (adds)

I did sell some small bank stocks to generate some cash for a small loss. One account ran out of cash, my main account is down to 10% cash. I may sell some stuff in Japan tonite, if prices stay level or I may buys some if they don't <g>.

My nomer for this kind of a stock market is a "Nantucket Sleighride". Great classic by the way:

Hi Clownbuck.

I know what you mean about decision paralysis. But what do you call not following your own advice on your own portfolio? Maybe portfolio paralysis? There's just too much imput and not easy keeping it simple. My excuse is that when the market is tanking, as it had during the past two sessions, I don't like to review my holdings.

I own XRX and have ignored it making new lows on avg. vol. At least its the weekend and it will give me time to review the rest of my folios. May join you in FWLT next week with my XRX money.

Sergio

FWLT

<Foster Wheeler ( FWLT _) upgraded at BMO Capital to Outperform. $32 price target. Despite limited near-term visibility, the company should be an early-cycle recovery play.>

<re buying at 52 weeks lows.

Do what works for you. I look at technicals too but the problem is decision paralysis when I focus too much on getting the best price. For me it's important to get a good price and go from there. >

Hi Clownbuck. Great analyses and great call on FWLT and a nice bounce from the bottom.
