I think we all want to find the bottom, yet that's almost impossible. All I want to be sure of is that I buy at close to the bottom or at least no more than 1-3% off it. Is that an unreasonable target?

The market turning up won't carry the drillers. It won't hurt, but has no relationship. Driller are being buffetted today from WSJ HOTS article, following the Barron's one.

Unfortunately, Cramer's article received miniscule coverage compared to daily/weekly financial press.

To make my point: I own AMTX and WSTL. Doing great today. The drillers still need stiches, but there's still alot of profit in most of these stocks. How much profit will be pulled out? I don't know. I would think that most folks would wait until the new year and take the profit over the Jan 1 threashold. Maybe we have that second round of selling, as well, to look forward to...:>(.

Tom, try superimpose PTEN (now) over CDG (in January) and you will see what I mean.
