She uses socialist and Marxist reasoning to argue for that,

One way to avoid having a reasonable conversation is to use extreme rhetoric...which is what you have been doing on this subject...we have a debt problem, and a widening wealth chasm....you reduce spending, you raise revenue and govern for growth to help these things...that's all...if she's a marxist then so is reagan, bush the first and a long list of presidents and legislators who have advocated similar initiatives...

>She uses socialist and Marxist reasoning to argue for that, you know. "We paid for the roads," she claims. Really? Only 1/2 of all Americans pay any income taxes.

That's any federal income taxes. They do pay state income taxes (in states where that applies), property taxes, local and state sales taxes, energy taxes, gas taxes, various fees, and at the end of the day pay a significant chunk of their income in taxes.

You should thank your lucky stars you're not one of them. I know I'd rather pay income tax than make less than $50,000 a year.
