Cymer management messed this whole thing up. I am long on Cymer and
own enough shares to care about this stock. But their abrupt pullout
of that conference in September screwed every single shareholder.
Are they going to do this evry single time some customer decides
to actually change their delivery schedule??? I personally think it was a bad decision on the part of Cymer. They have to realize that
EVERYTHING they do affects their ability to maximize shareholder value. And if they do not realize that, then they'd better set up a darn good investor relations department. Other than that, the fundamentals are excellent. I think that some institutional investors will eventually wake up to the attractive price right now. And recent articles in technical journals have suggested that Taiwanese and Korean and other Asian companies are not going to disrupt their long term semiconductor plans even with the currency crisis. But if this fiasco repeats itself, and they give the shorts another opportunity, then what have they learned?
