The claims you are making seem like unfounded conspiracy theory to me. Yes, I know people who worked there have had various jobs in financial aspects for the USA government. They were employed as technical supporters and advisers. Congress has absolute power and can anything they like [after they roll it through their processes and the president signs it into law and he had best not veto it if public support is there].

The shareholders of GS have total power to order their employees around.

There isn't much reason for a company to exist other than to make profits. Of course they try to get benefits from governments if they can, but governments have no obligation to go along with them. Governments need votes. Goldman Sachs has no vote.

Mqurice
