How does Bear Stearns calculate that a loss of 1/3 of 15% (i.e. 5%) of revenue results in a downgrade in 5/98 earnings from $2.40 to $1.41? Something is missing from the Asia calculation.

You know, I don't think Asia is what's really pulling down 3Com......
It is a fact they are having inventory problems and I think the chances of bad news including Asia far outweighs the chances of good news.

I hope the people that buy in todays prices make money but boy, what a gamble...Aren't there better prospects out there????

Look, I've been involved with this company since the late 80's and I'm as confident long term as anyone......... But anybody who thinks it is not possible to see even 22 in this stock again is being ignorant.
