Good News from Reuters!!!

LAS VEGAS, Nov 19 (Reuters) - A myriad of small, handheld
computers and devices proliferated at the Comdex.........

"Some of the biggest crowds were around 3Com Corp.'s
booth, which featured the Palm Computing unit that
develops the hot-selling PalmPilot..."

Can hot selling PalmPilots offset high inventories of 56k modems?
Could the PalmPilot be to Coms, like the Zip Drive was to Iomega?

Wishful Thinking,

Valentino

3COM was being pulled down because more people were selling rather than buying their shares. On one side, you have the worries in Asia and the earnings estimates cuts by major brokerages, and on the other side, you have very positive remarks from Comdex on the palm top and the new products to compete with Cisco. At this point, there is far more upside potential. With Applied Material's ernings tonight, it will give us a peak into their Asian concerns. This will indirectly effect 3COMS's stock price over the next week. Watch tomorrow what AMAT does and I'm willing to bet that COMS heads in the same direction.

My thoughts only,

Jeff
