From what I've read there is one Columbia student who remembers him .... another Occidental transfer to Columbia ... they roomed together for a short time. Phil Boemer: college.columbia.edu Most Columbia students would have thought he was a foreign student. Most of his friends in college were foreign students from Pakistan, sons of very wealthy families. After rooming for one semester with this Boemer, Obama moved in with a Pakistani who had been a foreign student at Occidental but had moved to NYC. He wasn't a student in NYC though, just hanging out ... being financed by his family probably. Sohale Siddiqi. After he graduated, his Pakistani friends families financed a three week trip to Pakistan and India.
