You always make sense. I know it is tough. NIxon was able to go to China, as you mention, only because if a lefty went Nixon would have called him a commie. I guess what I am saying is we need to do soemthing about the suffering people in this country. We know the right wing cares nothiing about the poor and will fight us every step of the way. It is a given. We do not even need to spend much time discussing them about their bad behavior. What we do need to do is look at our army that is fighting them. I just watched Bernie Sanders, a man I love and trust very much, really pissed at Bernanke's unwillingess to reign in the banks or help with the unemployment. Bernie sanders asked him fif the banks were to big to fail. Bernanke gave a political answer. I spent 25 years in politics and know the language. Bush appointed Bernanke and Obama reappointed him. So my question is, who do we trust here Bernie Sanders or Obama? I think the problem we have is in organizing our progressive fighting force. Nothing has been done about the housing crises, Newsweek this week said the whitehouse was not helping Nancy Pelosi even as she has shed blood helping the white House, Howard Fineman said the whitehouses relations with congress are bad and the kids have been disallusioned. Why we lost 2010 IMO. Now we have the kids in the streets. I don't think it needed to come to this. We need to be more organized and specific about how to fight this war with the right wing. And we need to start by looking at our fighting force.

A Liberal Democrat of any color or gender (like Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, et al) would be a lightening rod for Republican, Conservatives, and the undecided. We will need a stealth Liberal in Conservative clothing like an Earle Warren or David Souter getting into the wh and then somehow sees the light. Am I making any sense? One other point I wanted to make. FDR had a vry hostile congress and supreme court, yet he fought on. I still believe Obama won 08 preaching a populist message. I think the coutnry is ready for an FDR fighting and preaching a popullist message. If the country was dead sure Obama would carry out what he said in 08 they would rally for him again, IMO. But that would mean getting rid of the Republican Gene Sperling, Daley, and Geithner and bringing in some Reichs, and Stiglitz, Volkers and Krugmans.
