I've said it before..........Cameron's gov't is doing in the UK what you want done here. And its not working. In fact, his gov't is screwing up on almost every front.

And yet, he is as ideologically rigid as you are. Expect more riots in the UK.

UK unemployment total hits highest in 17 years

"Despite the weak labour market, the government is unlikely to significantly change course on fiscal austerity plans. David Cameron, George Osborne and Nick Clegg all reaffirmed their commitment to 'Plan A' during party conference season and a U-turn on fiscal austerity would now prove politically embarrassing," said CEBR senior economist Scott Corfe.

"Letting someone keep more of their own money is not a giveaway to them."

It is when you're shortchanging necessary gov't services as what's happening in CA.

That's wrong on two levels.

1 - The state of CA isn't shortchanged, it has vast resources, it spends and does to much, to the harm of Californians.

Have you ever lived in CA? Did you experience ten years of service cutbacks? No to both questions. You really don't know when you're talking about when it comes to CA. I watched the services decline year after year while the lines at gov't offices grew longer. You have no idea how badly your ideology's messed up understanding of economics screwed up the Golden state.

2 - Even if CA was starved for cash, letting someone keep more of their own money still wouldn't be a giveaway to them. Even if you start with the assumption that its important not to let them keep more of their own money, doing so wouldn't be a giveaway to them, it would just be a reduction in their required giveaway to the state.

We are one nation. Everyone has to pay their fair share.........and some people's fair share is greater than others. Deal with it!
