Like the idea of establishing a recognition area of some sort.

The deceased poster recognition is good.

A place to remember the contributions and personal memories of what those who have passed brought to the virtual community.

Also, since I have the seniority, an area to acknowledge anniversaries of participation might be interesting.

Say start with the folks achieving active community participation for 5 then 10 and finally, ahem, 15 years. ( at 20 we would get a solid gold T-shirt)

Active participation being based on quantitative measures. 100 or 200 posts a year, maybe.

Qualitative recognition seems a bit more elusive.

Both negative and positive.

Being driven by community opinions as much as rules adherence, not sure a shame category would add much, and not sure how a fame category could be objectively determined.
