Bill-->For those long term AMTX holders that believe in the AMTX technology, Westell is going to build its solution around that technology. The only thing Westell doesn't get are the patents. Am I missing something here?<

Yes, the competition. Westell is not the only vendor who will get TI/AMTX chips. TI is going to try and market it to every xDSL vendor under the sun. Also, someone made a good point here earlier. Perhaps if TI is outbid by another company for AMTX, WSTL loses everything. That places uncertainty and risk into WSTL until the TI deal is consummated. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, ADSL is still only slowly being deployed. That gives time to other competitors to get their act together. I am now looking at placing some of my AMTX pickings into ASND. Looks like it has bottomed out. I think WSTL is still in too risky a position. Or maybe the MMs bring the price of WSTL up after options expiration week is over. Next week could be very telling to the short term pricing of WSTL. Lets face it, after this AMTX/TI debacle, it goes to show nobody has a clue to what will happen.
