Worshipping and cherry picking binary solutions is not useful. The President of the United States has to have a coherent world view that consists of the totality of issues facing our country including components of justice for all. That requires an understanding, at least intuitively, of regression analysis.

Pathological gadflies like Ron Paul is a major irritant (if not something much worse) in improving the structural changes that we have to make in an on going basis.
