' I don't mind welfare, but it annoys me to pay it to cranky liver spotted libertarian/wing nut freakazoids who don't even understand they are on welfare'

They are all over rural and even parts of urban Florida in depressing rundown trailer trash communities.. You would think they'd side with the 99 Percenters?

I can understand your sentiments and agree with a lot of it. Sort of like the movie idiocracy-lol. But I have so many friends without good health insurance and they cannot do anything about it and live life scared. I watch them not go to the doctor when they really need to go.

I am always sort of restartled every time I think that we can let people live without health insurance. Every other western democracy managed it but us. So we are the stupid ones I guess and heartless. Same goes with our charging exhorbitant fees for college and health care being ripped off by politics that don't allow importation of Canadian drugs or negotiating for drugs for medicare.

But also the fact Obama led us to believe the Public Option which is essentail, IMO, was on the table.

As far as the welfare folks, I have always seen that as nothing more than a matter of lack of education and genetic capability, by and large. I look at those totally uneducated gang members for instance and they understand nothing. They live in an itsy bitsy reality. And as my mom used to say the folks on welfare are not living well.

I had one personal experience that always saddened me. When I was young, teaching grade schooll in Morgan Hill California, I had these four sisters in the school I was teaching at. They came from a family that was completely uneducated and they tested sort of low. They were very nice girls but their lives were all hell. None of the girls ever graduated from high school nor did any of their kids. And so they made one mistake after another in life. Very tragic.

But for the grace of god there go I.
