James, I checked with DLJ on their commission schedule. Here it is:

$20 per trade - Up to 1,000 shares, plus $.02 per share thereafter. Stocks trading less than $1 will incur an overriding minimum of $20 and a maximum of 5% of principal.

See dljdirect.com

According to their Commission Calculator, buying 300,000 shares of CVIA @ 0.031 would incur $465.0 in commission.
I hope you're not getting charged more than you think.<g>

James,
Are you sure about this $20 penny stock trade with DLJ. I bought 100,000 shares of CVIA and they charged me $180.

James----You better go back and take another look on DLJ's commission schedule. It's $20 up to 1000 shares. After that it can eat you alive. I bought 10000 shares of a stock yesterday at .26, and the commission was $130.
