When Hitler invaded other countries he did so with the support of the entire German nation. And the German supported him based on the propaganda and misinformation of his ministers such as Geobbels etc. Bush had no business attacking Iraq by chasing the UN inspectors out who were on the ground verifying if Saddam had given up all the WMDs or not. They did not find any WMD, neither the UN inspectors nor the US military. So to pick up this phrase from your post "to attack Iraq if Saddam Hussein refuses to give up weapons of mass destruction", I ask what evidence did Bush have that he had not given up weapons of mass destruction. To take the discussion further, when the Administration was asked why they did not keep to the intent of the vote, he moved the goal post and said that his order was based on going after the AQ in Iraq. That was not what the Senate voted for, is it? The Iraq war was fought on a total lie of the Administration.
