Oh my...two you didn't feel he needed to take a sharp turn left. This is absolutely untrue. I'm not inclined nor do I have the subscription level to look up the posts re: what I said. I do recall agreeing with Wharfy at one point that O is either an R or a coward. Yes, *obsessively* posting on these boards was not helpful but hurtful, imo, because this is SI and not Obama's chamber where he gets advised. We have extreme R wingers lurking here and I felt it was 1) dispiriting us Ds and 2)emboldening them. We knew, everyone(most, at the very least) on the 3 D boards at SI knew, that he had to fight. I wrote to his office. I replied to their donation requests with "when Obama starts acting like a D instead of an R, I will gladly give to his campaign." I even posted it proudly on Pal's thread.......it was and still is my opinion that going through channels where he actually hears our feedback was more appropriate than obsessively writing the same depressing and anger-inducing message........you dealt with your view differently. I didn't agree. That's fine. The rest of your post is another repetition of what I've read from you for what is now months. As I said in my post, it was NOT what you and we were upset about, it was the constant slamming that was irritating......................................... To say that I was on the wrong side of the debate re: Obama needing to fight is another absolutely bold faced lie........................................
