Hard to place much credence in Jeff's conversation with some LU salesguys at a mega trade show in Vegas that are probably nursing a 3-day hangover. Larry, Very true. Probably lots of "combination" talk going on at that trade show. Heck, probably lots of "mergers" and "combinations" going on as well. I apologize, all, for contributing nothing of use tonite. Larry That was plan B...invite him to the nudy bar after the show and get him really drunk. And then ask him no really ,Who's Lucent really going to buy? This person was in network marketing....I just walked up and asked...When are you going to buy Ascend. He said,without hesitation, We are buying somebody.(quite matter a factly)Rumors are all over,3coms or Cisco. I said I can't believe you would buy 3coms.Then we talked about when...He said an announcement would probably be made around the first of the year. Jeff
