This seems like a good place to put in my two cents worth I have been thinking about.

Republicans have great party discipline. Many voters will conscientiously consider which Republican to vote for. This is an exercise in futility because regardless of how willing you think your favorite Republican is to work for the good of the country when he gets to Washington he will be captured by big bucks from lobbyists and the enforcement of party discipline to vote as the Republican caucus dictates. So, unless you are willing to see further encroachment by the Republican party machinery you have no alternative but to vote Democratic.

A Democrat is more driven by logic and reason and he will govern mostly by what he believes is best for the country.

Therefore, regardless of a person's party loyalty his only rational choice is to vote Democratic -- unless he actually wants more and more of the fascist plutocracy to control our country.

As Koan stated
When Orwell wrote 1984 and Animal Farm he perceived an event exactly like what has been happening for the last 30 years. A slow and steady advance into a fascist plutocracy. So slow few even notice. In animal Farm only the pig was left with the memory of what freedom was.
