Madoff was just a greedy, crooked Jew who conned a whole lot of other greedy, not so crooked but willing to look the other way, Jews. Some of his "victims" must have made many times their initial investment back while taking later suckers money in redemptions. There was a great little tale on "This American Life" on NPR about an early Madoff sceptic, who's daughter came to him with tales of the Magic Madoff and his 25% returns 16 years ago. She wanted to invest ALL her money with the guy. Her dad said no, you don't invest ALL your money with ANY one man, and especially not a man who won't tell you what he's doing. For 16 years, this man was a pariah to his daughter, but he held firm. Other family members went all in with Madoff. Now, the guy is a hero to his daughter.
