I like that Olin is basically just a CA company now that they bought POL's interest in sunbelt ( a very efficient plant). CA is a very high margined business. The only thing is, a lot of CA demand (PVC) is tied to the housing market. IMO-The dividend is very secure for a holding position. Olin's former division Arch was just recently snapped up by Lonza. I saw recently they will be doing some Cap-X spending to convert one of their old mercury membrane plants to a newer environmentally safer process. I still think Winchester will eventually or should be sold, even though it has ties to the founding of the company. I'd say OLN ranks 5 out of ten in speculative appeal presently.
