Cyrix, Pentium II and Cross licensing of 'rights' with Intel and NSM.

John and thread: Sorry if someone already posted this news, but take
a look at the following story and see what y'all think.

news.com

My question is how can Cyrix use the 'rights' to manufacture Pentium II since the cross licensing agreement is between NSM and Intel.According Cyrix, now that they are part of NSM they can use this. Does this mean Intel has no recourse??? Could Intel be so naive to sign corss licensing agreement with a company without anticipating
this sort of thing, that is mergers and acquisitions etc?????

Anyone???????????????
