I am no Ranger fan. I have always been an Islander fan since inception. Potvin, Bossy, Trottier, Gilles, Nystrom, Smith, Merrick, Goring, Resch, Howat, etc. It was a very good game. As you know, Ovechkin is quite a player. The Islanders came out flat and tight and found themselves down 2-0 after 1. Then they began checking and they tied the game after 2. End to end action. They scored the winning goal with 1:46 to play on a rebound that Vokoun never should have let happen. Surprisingly, the Coliseum was almost a full house. We sat at center ice, section 303. Hope the Islanders move to Flushing in 2015.

I liked Hadfield, Ratelle, and Gilbert from the Rangers, along with Eddie Giacommin, who played very good at times, but never great enough to win the Cup.

The best hockey players I ever saw were Bobby Hull, Gordie Howe, Jean Beliveau, Lemieux, Henri Richard, The Rocket Richard, Yvan Cournyaya (the Roadrunner), Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, Stan Mikita, Guy Lafleur, The Great One (Gretzky), Messier(when in Edmonton) Best goalie: Gump Worsley

Tim Horton was very very good, but not great. Larry Robinson was great, a little better defensively than Dennis Potvin.
