I like my American friends I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that you are probably describing a pretty narrow slice of Americana that you approve of. But we have covered this ground before. You are particularly critical in your perception of Americans, in general, as being unsophisticated hicks. You dislike America in general and in particular detest the incumbent president, probably because he is such an exception to the stereotype that you would prefer to retain. What is fascinating is your realization, at some level, that Obama represent a bona fide threat to your version of TEOTWAWKI. A charismatic leader who could actually focus the historic abilities and energy of the American people would certainly postpone your version of Sino ascendency and world dominance. But, again, truth be told, having spent my whole life as a resident of the biggest, meanest kick-ass country that ever was, it ain't that big a deal. As you said earlier, we understand each other completely.
