The United States is destined to become a third-world shithole and it is well on its way. you are correct in your assessment of the dire straits in which our country finds itself. before the occupy movement, my focus was on the preparation of my home and family for the inevitable decline, as i saw no other option. i was literally focusing on the preparation of my address for a collapse...disgusted by our local and national government. you are incorrect in your statement that "there's nothing left to rebuild." my family, my friends, my community are very much here. i'm done with "hopes and dreams," but i've still got a lot of hard work left in me and i'm not going down without a fight. the occupy movement has already made a difference, and the people i encounter at each site i visit are very determined...they're not going back to sleep. in many ways, they are what we've been waiting for and decrying the lack of...the american sheeple awake! it is late, i agree, but i'm not ready to throw in the towel as long as there are this many people ready to go to work.the clownbuck will ultimately be devalued into essential oblivion. i agree that our currency is doomed. however, that does not mean we have to lay down and let armageddon roll over us. many people will be prepared for what is coming, but the majority will not. the people involved in the occupy movement have the ability to evolve into a core group of local, sustainable community of support. they are forming a cohesive unit, getting to know each other, and learning to work together for a common goal, a skill we've lost in this country as we were taught to call on the experts or the government for whatever we need. i'm not sure what you mean by "undesirable shifts in demographics over the last half-century." we are a nation of immigrants, and immigrants do not concern me nearly as much as the pig-men in washington and new york who are destroying our country.
