Thank YOU for taking my post seriously, and for your comments.

I think you are right; the POWs seem more volatile than the market as a whole and even the small caps as a whole; they definitely outperform in uptrends. And so, how do they do in the downtrends? That's partly why I wanted feedback on the numbers for, like you said, the first real downtrend the POWs have experienced.
The POWs are terrific stocks for the long term and as such the current time period I mentioned shouldn't affect the long term investor.
But I know there are many people on the group that have shorter time horizons, and I wanted to chronicle POW performance during this first downturn in the market we've had in a long time.

I also completely agree that watching the market and understanding it's direction is extremely crucial. I've been working on this as well. In my opinion, IBD is a great way to keep abreast of the market.

I have a feeling the POWs will start coming back with a vengeance, if we are entering into a new uptrend, which is a very real possibility.
