Earl,

I agree with you up to a point. If Ancor wants to sell in the LAN, the time is now. They have a number (Amoco, Boeing, Mt. Subaru) deals that are all on the LAN side. They need to be hitting the following points hard:

1. Superiority to ATM, and the specific ATM switches that were replaced. I don't know if everyone had a chance to scrutinize the Sun link on GE I posted last week, but that author said he "laughed" when he considers the idea that GE could outperform ATM in the LAN. This ATM hype is not insurmountable.

2. Plug and play aspects - FC is very easy to install, assuming the right cable is in place.

3. ATM does not support SCSI protocol, and can't be used in the SAN.

There are certainly reasons to be optimistic, but there is a window of opportunity rather than a sea of change.

>>>The anticipation surrounding this company combined with the painful
turns this stock has taken has created a bunch of skeptics here. That's good- investors ought to be skeptical. But we should not loose sight of the sea of change which is underway. FC is ramping up NOW, ANCR will have its share.<<<

Earl- Excellent post and definately agree with you. Seems that it is the Markets inclination to shake out as much weakness as possible. I don't think it has taken out many of the ones who are excited over the prospects of ANCR and FC. Just taking a nap for now. It's pretty clear that new investors will wait to see some contracts with numbers or an upside surprise next quarter or some kind of OEM deal before they put down their money. Migration to the higher end of FC isn't happening overnight.
