Kind of on topic:

Shalom have you ever seen the 2-part dramatization of Abraham's life. It was broadcast at one time on one of the Turner channels. Richard Harris starred.

The movie was not accurate on some counts, but I thought it was a very inspiring dramtization. Check it out if you get a chance!

I saw it while visiting my in-laws.

I ask about Abraham because learned theologians have stated that he was a eponym of the jews and arabs...a figure without historical proofs.

As far as circumcision is concerned, rightly or not, it was a practice based on hygiene rather than a covenant with G d. But I am listening.
