Two 32MB simms cost me $378 with tax and shipping on May 28th,

As I remember that was a good price "WAY BACK THEN".<G>

I'm amazed how fast prices have gone down. It's no wonder the DRAM guys are getting their heads handed to 'em.

My PC wouldn't identify the cheap memory,
Really? Was it the right kind or just bogus chips?
Reason I ask is that if I hadn't done some homework and kept my ears open I very easily could have come home with the wrong type of chips and never known the difference or known why it didn't work.

The arrogant b*tch who was behind the counter swore up and down that she knew what she was talking about and that was giving me the right kind of memory.

After listening to David's warning thoguh, I researched my manuals, went to the Acer website and made sure I knew what I was looking for.
Good thing as I would have wasted time and money.

Initially I thought it was as simple as going in, asking for 16MB of generic memory and going on my way. Silly me.

Salespeople with that irritating know-it-all attitude should be somehow held accountable for their screw-ups.

If she would have just worked with me on the problem I would have been patient as can be, but her attitude sucked.
She acted like it was MY fault that SHE screwed up. ?????

I was real polite and said "According to my manual, I didn' think that she had given me the right kind of memory."
Man o Man, you woulda thought I slapped her or sumthin'

I guess she was smarter than the owners manual.<G>

It's especially distressing that this seems to be the norm rather than the exception.

Did you get a ISDN offer from Pacbell?

If so could you explain to me how much it costs.<G>

Same thing as we talked about around a year ago.

They made it cheaper (I guess), but I cannot for the life of me figure out the bottom line.
When are they gonna get with it?
