Unfortunately, I see the ebooks taking over a larger portion of the market. Less and less books will be published - only the ones that are guaranteed to sell. More publishers are going out of business and the second tier writers won't be able to find a publisher and will have to self-publish. I have 2 clients who have several books published who can't find a publisher today. One self-published and the other had to go with a small niche publisher.

But the good news is that ebooks will become more fun. Right now, you can look up a word if you don't know the meaning. In the future, I can see links to Google Earth to look at a place being talked about in the book. Also, there will be sound tracks - a combo playing in the background in a restaurant, etc.

Ebooks hold no interest for me because I have to edit/read books on my computer. I don't want to have to read the fun stuff electronically.
