I have been downloading and reading kindle books from my local library and reading them on the new Kindle Firs. I like it a lot. If I am out and about, say picking my daughter upper from school, I can pull out my iphone and read for 5 minutes. It syncs with where I left off on the Kindle. Very cool IMO.

I'm currently reading Malcolm Gladwell's "What the Dog Saw," a compilation if his essays from The New Yorker. Highly recommended. I may give the book as Christmas presents this year.

As for publishing, Erika has read several books by Amanda Hocking. She could not get her books published and self published and started selling kn Amazon. She just signed a $2 million contract with St Martins Press.

just as I thought - the future is e-books

I'll be a hold out [as long as I can]

I do look up words, with a dictionary - when ever I read a book and then they make into a movie, even if they follow the book farily close, I'm almost always disappointed - it never lives up to what was in my mind - there are exceptions, but few and far between
