Stephen ********** OFF TOPIC ******************

First of all, I'd like to say that I think it's really cool that you're on this thread as a 'real live' analyst.

My question is the following: How do you get into equity analysis as a career. I've got a BA in psychology and I'm a techical writer. I'm taking the Canadian Securities Course -- which is good enough to become a license broker in Canada.

I don't know whether my next step should be a CFA (Chartered Financial Analysts - Canada - 5 years?) or an MBA - 3 years?

As a career, I current present technical information in writed reports and manuals. I assume there's lots of report writing in professional equity analysis also, so I figure it may be a good match -- I just need more education.

I hope this isn't out of line.
Thanks...
