Skipper:

<<"Science" is nothing more than a word, derived from a different language,
the Latin "scire", which means "to know". Those that do not know how they
know, will not be helped by being told. Those that know, do not need to be
told.>>

Excellent, Skipper! A is A

<<If you can accept common meanings, science is performed through a
combination of logic and experience, where its conclusions are, to a
greater or lesser degree, commonly accepted.>>

Yes, Skipper, but it is what is 'commonly accepted' that has John Galt
troubled. It is good fortune, however, that experience shows that a
stricter adherence to the 'rules of evidence' in science returns progress
(positive feedback). It is the 'common' identification and acceptance of
this reality that keeps science from falling into the hands of mystics.

<<The first principle is mind>>

Again, Skipper, excellent. The first principle is "A is A"
