I cannot dismiss Ron Paul's assertions out of hand. To do so you have to believe that the jihadists who run Iran are willing to risk destruction of their country as the result of retaliation from U.S./Israel. I do not dismiss this possibility, but given the extent of lies emananting from our government, I think healthy skepticism is best.

Maybe if Ron Paul "could see things as they really are, and NOT as he wishes them to be," he would be perceived differently. Unfortunately, he is probably right on the economy, but is so far off the reservation as far as foreign policy and events are concerned, people don't take him seriously. Except for those who want legalized pot.

During last debate Paul questioned Iran's intention to get nukes. He will question it until bombs start going off - and after that, he'll explain things away, and do nothing. After a direct attack he'll react, but... even then I don't trust him to react rationally.
