2010 Bera Vittorio E. Figli Moscato d'Asti Canelli

Mark, I love Cel-Ray, but I can't imagine crediting a wine for having similar taste.

I had a Dom Perignon followed by a vintage Bollanger. Since my brother brought them to Christmas dinner, I paid less than $20.

Both were fabulous.

Okay, one more for the holiday season. Here's a classic Malbec from the place that made Malbec great: Cahors. I'm not a fan of most of the Argentinian Malbec's that make it to these shores, but even those who are should give this one a whirl:

2008 Château de Gaudou Cahors
Aromas of cedar and cassis. Rich palate of black fruit and earth. Some peppery spice in the finish. Classic Cahors, right down to the black ink color. Assertive and full, but completely in balance. I will be interested to see where this is in a couple of years. Outstanding value at $13 and well worth seeking out.
