As I said in a previous post, I don't think the next president is going to have much of an impact on things.

The only way we're going to see serious change occur, is to get the bastards in congress into a mindset that WE sent them there to do OUR job.

Term limits is the only way I see to deliver that message.

Who do you want to see make it?

As with most elections, this will be a lesser of two evils situation. The best people are not running.
Romney would be less than ideal but vastly superior to the incompetent guy in office now.

see a major difference between Romney and Obama

You have not done enough research on positions (and background) if you see no difference.

f you can see a major difference between Romney and Obama, you're a better man than I am. They're both well polished great family men snuggling up with the powers of money. I think a Romney President would be very VERY little different than what we have now. Not the worst that we could get for sure, but is more of the same really what you want?

I agree. I think both men see government as something that can potentially do "good" things and therefore it's grasp should be expanded. I think the only difference between Romney and Obama is that Obama essentially wants the federal government to eventually have a hand in everything -- a silent, if not controlling, partner in every endeavor. Obama has also indicated that he favors wealth distribution policies as well, which I don't think Romney necessarily agrees with.

Further growth of the federal government will definitely occur under either a Romney or Obama administration. I think most conservatives and libertarians recognize this and as a result, will refuse to commit to his candidacy until he secures the nomination.
