<<I have begun moving all my cash positions (50% of PF) to short-term U.S. T-bond ETFs which are not affiliated with banks.>>

In your opinion, what are some of the best vehicles for doing this? I have invested in a few Series I Treasury Bonds, but this obviously ties your money up for a period of time similar to a CD. TIA.

10K,

So you prefer short-term U.S. T-bond ETFs held in a brokerage account backed by the SIPC over cash in a bank account backed by the FDIC? Is there more to it?

Just a point to make...you are still taking risk with the various govt bonds and funds but you aren't getting paid for taking the risk...."the best defense is a good offense"..
