There is nothing "fun" about this horse and saying it is "dead" is way off the mark. American taxpayers will be paying for Barney Frank's incompetence (or is it malfeasance??? history will tell) for years to come. People made investment decisions based on what he said, with some losing their life savings.

What he did is unconscionable, unforgivable and indefensible.

"Barney Frank said some stupid things. But what, exactly, did he do that prevented wiser people from fixing Freddie and Fannie? Real actions, not just saying things about Republicans being mean or something. And where did those stupid names come from anyway"

He stymied the attempts to regulate Fannie and Freddie. It really is that simple.
