Political process developed for a time the going was good. Once the going gets tough the political process is a part of the problem, not part of the solution.

I don't have Ron Paul's direct quotes, but I guess he thinks if there's a willing buyer, and they can find a willing seller, then the two of them can make a deal if they like, irrespective of borders. < I find his stance on free trade a little confusing... maybe you could clear that up for me :O) > He doesn't think there is a need for government appointed trade negotiators to get between the sellers and buyers. Hence he thought the World Trade Organisation was a load of malarkey.
