The fact is the wage rate differential is much more important than the tax rate differential when you're talking jobs.

not for employers it isn't. employers have to take into consideration many more things than just the wages they have to pay. things like the skills of the local population, compliance costs of regulations, and tax rates are all major considerations that go along with wage considerations. tax rates alone can price wages out of the market.

I disagree. I am much happier paying higher wages in the north because of work ethics and productivity than elsewhere. Taxes if reduced in Wisconsin will keep me here. Otherwise, we will expand elsewhere. You must compare skills and productivity, and of course it depends on what industry.
