It will be interesting to see how Avant acounts for the 31m loss to Silvaco. If they take the charge this quarter even though they only paid the bond. This would be a good excuse for Avant to post another loss. Avants fundamentals are erroding quicker than ice in a desert. Avant has to keep its operating profit in the black. One bad quarter in operating profits the big guys are even going to see the light and dump this dog. The company is still over priced. Trading at 600 milion plus with sales that will probably not break 200m. This includes added revenue from acquisitions. I can not see how they can maintain highly skilled people in their environment. Their legal department dropped the ball with Silvaco and I can hear alot of other balls dropping all over the court. I don't see Hsu managing a number of acquisitions, moving their office, fighting legal battles, laying-off employees and yet maintaing employees while increasing customer base and providing good services. Don't be suprised if HSU buys another company real soon. Has anyone heard about the CDN lawsuit????????????????/
