You might be right about Kyobo being yet another R&D product that just got shipped but they've been working on this stuff for eons. If one is going to make a product, at least make it something that is competitive within it's category. Much like they chose to compete in the mobile TV arena, they chose the eReader format. Shouldn't we at least expect them to bring out product that meets the basic needs of the market? Are they so busy dealing with the technical issues that they forego the needs of the market. Much as FLO tecnology might well have been the best way to deliver mass consumed video content, Mirasol screen technology might be better display product. However, it is now associated with late and disfunctional product and right at the time, the chosen product category is capturing mass market appeal.

Dead trees in flurishing forests stand out. As each day passes it is only the deterioration of the situation that is becoming clarified. Tally up the product announcements of the last decade. Many have withered into a non existent state and those still with us have barely met minimal expectations.

Change for the better is long overdue. Now that it's becoming clear that a good portion of the original 10K engineers have produced inferior new product, can we afford 20K engineers beavering away in a similar manner. The chipset and royalty business is strong. It's time they are freed from the wastefulness of the rest of the business. Vision without execution is worthless.

PJ has billions and a good chunk of it now beyond Qualcomm equity. Before it's too late, it's time for someone of a more pragmagic nature to lead. Yes men and women only disguise the problems and prolong the demise.
