You have to have "faith" to know the world is 4Bil yrs old , its just the rules and of course we all know that is a lie . Nothing has ever been proven not even that we breath air or have to drink water everyday and all other creatures share . That we share 99% of the same DNA as other primates & 95% with dolphins or that the strand of DNA lineage goes all the way back to one celled animals is a lie . Measurements that defy inaccuracy down to the tiniest of percentages using lasers, atomic clocks & electron microscopes, are all lies . Its those silly rules again that say we cannot possibly be descended from some earlier ape ancestor even though we have the skulls to prove it . None of these going all the way back requires any leap of faith , only back to the very beginning the slightest chance of "supernatural" appear. But similarly , given what we know its a safe bet that the first tribes of men/hominids to reach North America did so walking on their two feet along with the Wooly Mammoths and did not fly on the back of some flying dragons mentioned in the Bible or sprout angel wings that dropped off later . Some choose not to believe which in itself is the essence of the innacuracy of belief which roots itself in immature approximations of whats true/real for the sake of bonding to dogma a proof that one is real, by embracing whats not real . Believe so that others see you believe is more the secret of the affair , if one wishes hard enough upon a star & does it often enough , it all will come true . This is "science" of everything , everything comes from nothing , so pay no attention to the 10's of 1000's of fossils we have found in every part of the world .
