How much is this per each gainfully employed productive person? A thousand or so? Probably more. And this is not all they spend, it's just the part that comes from new borrowing. And they pretend that this is normal.

They are insane, and the economists who give them theoretical "cover" are also insane.

yep....politicians ignore this at their peril....

i had a contractor (with a worker) here today finishing a remodel and we had an extremely animated conversation about the 'half' of the country that is supporting the slacker half of which is included 'public' employees....the anger and disgust is bordering on risible were it not so sad....the focus was on the growing numbers of gov't 'workers' leeching off the productive class.....few electable candidates are putting this squarely on the table....unfortunately (and this has been a long time coming) we have this 'i gotta get mine' mentality (from 'the government' meaning the productive class) aka class warfare...you can't have half of the country siphoning off the other half...it is unsustainable.....the country will collapse under the current nanny state....

the 2 guys i conversed with were really fed up....

with BOTH parties....
