It only makes sense that if someone doesn't believe they are prepared or ready, we don't need them as a candidate.

Paul Ryan or Rubio should have run if they loved their country.
Maybe Ryan and Rubio have skeletons in their closet that they knew will be exposed through the primary vetting process. Maybe they love their country enough to not bring those scandals to the right wing. Wouldn't we all be happier if some of our current candidates chose to not run and therefore not expose the party to those skeletons and ridicule?

I can't agree there. They are not ready for the top of the ticket. You ruin even the best minor leaguer if you bring him to the Bigs too soon. I think either would make a great VP candidate.
